COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course teaches Azure Solution Architects how to design infrastructure solutions. Course topics cover governance, compute, application architecture, storage, data integration, authentication, networks, business continuity, and migrations. The course combines lecture with case studies to demonstrate basic architect design principles.

AUDIENCE PROFILE

Successful students have experience and knowledge in IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance. Students also have experience designing and architecting solutions.

DELIVERY METHOD

This course includes activities that will allow you to test new skills and apply knowledge through hands-on lab activities. The course will be delivered through a mix of:

  • Instructor-led Training
  • Hands-on Labs
  • Case studies

PREREQUISITES

  • Understanding of Azure Active Directory
  • Understanding of Azure compute technologies such as VMs, containers and serverless solutions
  • Understanding of Azure virtual networking to include load balancers
  • Understanding of Azure Storage technologies (unstructured and databases)
  • Understanding of general application design concepts such as messaging and high availability

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Have a supported browser. Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari
  2. Have a network connection where both device and network settings allow at least the following connections towards internet for labs:
  • Secure Web sockets on HTTPS port 443 and 43443
  • RDP over port 21xxx or 443 (Enhanced control)
